According to Mr. Adi Susilo Kuncoro of Economic Department of the Netherland Embassy, the Dutch government would formulate a concept of cooperation with provincial government of Papua focusing on spatial plan and land-use issues based on actual hidrologic as well as socio-political, economic, and cultural context of Merauke area. In this scheme, the Dutch government would like to fill the gap in data system and regional planning documents of Merauke Regency. They would also provide an opportunity to other regencies in southern Papua to develop their low carbon development policies and to increase local management and organizational capacities. The visitation is actually a follow-up of previous visit in 2010.***HW
